From Alspec's published product information (February 2024). Diamond grille figures are for Alspec's Alu-Grille. For your certifier: the security tests are from the security screen standard (AS 5039), and child safety on upstairs windows means the building code's fall prevention rule for bedroom windows (tested to AS 5203). Ratings depend on the product being installed correctly, and requirements vary by window and storey, so always confirm with your certifier. Can you quote from plans?
Yes. Send your plans or window schedule and we'll work through every opening and quote from them. We check measure on site before anything is made.
Can screen frames match the window frames?
Usually, yes. Invisi-Gard frames are powder coated and come in a wide range of colours, so we can generally match them to the window frames on the job.
Can your screens stop children falling from upstairs windows?
For new homes, the building code says openable bedroom windows with a drop of 2 metres or more need protection that stops a child falling out. Alspec lists Invisi-Gard and its Alu-Grille diamond grille as tested to meet it (AS 5203). Alu-Gard isn't listed for it. Requirements depend on the window, so always confirm with your certifier.
