Your details, looked after
When you ask us for a quote, we need a few details to get back to you. Here's what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Who we are
GNB Shade & Security Specialists (Garry Neven Blinds), Unit 2, 5-9 Turnbull St, Garbutt QLD 4814. In this page, "we" and "us" means GNB.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us, through our forms, by phone, by email or in person. That can include:
- your name, phone number, email address and suburb
- what you'd like a quote on, your notes, and good days and times to call or measure
- photos, plans or files you send us
- for builders, property managers and businesses: your company or agency and the property or project
When we measure and quote, we'll also note the measurements and details of your home that we need for the job.
Why we collect it
- to get back to you, book a measure and give you a quote
- to make, install and look after what you order, including warranty claims
- to see which of our ads and listings bring in enquiries, so we spend our advertising well
Who we share it with
We don't sell your details or share them for marketing. We only pass on what's needed to do the job, for example:
- suppliers and manufacturers, when we order products or make a warranty claim for you
- the services that run our website and email, which store information on our behalf
This website
- Our quote forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is sending them and not a spam bot.
- When you arrive, your browser notes how you found us: for example which of our ads or which website you came from, and the page you landed on. It keeps this note for 90 days. If you send us a form, the note comes with it, so we know which advertising works. It isn't sent anywhere else.
- We count visits and page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you from site to site.
- We don't use advertising cookies on this website.
Keeping it safe
Only the GNB team members who need your details can see them. We keep job records for as long as we need them for warranties and our tax records.
Seeing or changing your details
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to fix anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete them if we no longer need them. Just call or email us.
